Alexandra Malter is a Belgian circus artist specializing in hula hoop, known for combining technical precision with a strong visual and artistic identity.

She comes from a famous fourth-generation European circus family ('Malter"), whose history is deeply rooted in traditional traveling circuses across Central Europe and Belgium.

Growing up within this legacy, Alexandra was immersed in the circus world from an early age. However, rather than simply continuing the family tradition, she chose to carve out her own artistic path, navigating the space between inherited heritage and personal expression.

At the age of 19, Alexandra signed her first international contract in Australia. This marked the beginning of her professional international career and positioned her within high-level contemporary entertainment productions.

Since then, she has performed worldwide in variety theatres, contemporary circus productions, festivals, television shows, and large-scale events.

Her work is characterized by a refined aesthetic, strong stage presence, and a continuous search for balance between virtuosity and storytelling.

Alexandra’s artistic journey reflects a broader evolution within the circus world: a transition from traditional formats toward contemporary, multidisciplinary performance. Today, she continues to develop her work internationally, exploring new forms and collaborations while carrying forward a living circus heritage shaped by her own artistic voice.

She also won the Silver price of the circus festival “European youth circus festival Wiesbaden” 2022 (Germany), a Special Award Price music & circus at the International Salieri Circus Festival 2024 (Italy) and two special awards at the Circus Princess Festival 2025 in Saratov (Russia).
